During our stay in Kozhikode, India, Vinod and Sussila fed us, kept our teacups filled, and checked on us constantly. Was all well? Did we have everything we needed? Is that an empty teacup I see? Can I refill your plate? Here’s more food — eat, eat!
Vinod and Sussila married on January 24, 1977. On January 24, 2017, we celebrated their 40th anniversary with treats from a local bakery. They fed each other cake the same way they did the day they got married.
It’s hard to be anything but kind and happy when you’re around such kind and happy people.
This is what 40 years of marriage can look like.
I’m thankful that I got to celebrate with them.
