Getting Out at Gower Street

People Actually Pay You to Write Things?

It’s another blog entry about my profession! Stop dancing around in your excitement and pay attention, people. I have important things to say. Well interesting things at least. Okay, just things. Really, thing (singular). You can actually skip today’s blog entry if you like. Though it is pretty short. You can rock out the reading in, like, one minute. More About My Confusing Profession

So last week I received a couple emails from a networking acquaintance asking if I’d like to help out with some technology-related work. Sure thing. I’ve done quite a bit of tech writing over the years, and new client work is fabulous. Rock on!

For the record, I’ve met the networking acquaintance on numerous occasions. We’ve discussed his work and mine. He has my business card. He has hit up my company’s website.

So the acquaintance forwards my contact info to his business partner, and the partner calls me.
